Vacuum Packaging is packaging in a modified atmosphere by partially removing the air. When the package is closed, a modified atmosphere containing 10-20% CO2 is created inside.
The vacuum can be created in three ways:
- Extracting air from the package using suction nozzles,
- Blowing a powerful jet of steam into the packaging,
- Shrinking the shrinking plastic film under heat.
