PET cup.  According to Article 7 of the SUP Plastics Directive (Directive 2019/904 Single Use Plastics), products must be labelled as being made partly or wholly of plastic. From 3 July 2021*, the EU Single Use Plastics Directive requires turtle graphics on beverage cups that contain any amount of plastic. The EU has included biobased and compostable materials such as PLA in the definition of plastic, so the new rules for all traditional cups. * Draft legislation implementing the provisions of the SUP Directive into Polish law is at the opinion stage. We would like to encourage you to get acquainted with a series of juice bottles made of rPET, i.e. polyester produced, among other things, from used plastic bottles or other packaging. This is currently the best available solution, in line with the principles of the Closed Circle Economy.
