From 3 July 2021*, the EU Single Use Plastics Directive requires turtle graphics on beverage cups that contain any amount of plastic. The EU has included biobased and compostable materials such as PLA in the definition of plastic, so the new rules for all traditional cups.   * Draft legislation implementing the provisions of the SUP Directive into Polish law is at the opinion stage.
